About Mrs. Van Daan
Mrs. Van Daan was a sweet lady. She had a son and a husband. Sadly, she passed away in one of the concentration camps during WWII. In fact she went into hiding and stayed hidden for over a year, or so. Mrs. Van daan's sons name was Peter and he was 16. She always did stand by his side. She loved him dearly. She and Anne did have a relationship. I can't really tell if it was a positive or a negative. At first they were pretty good friends, but when Anne spilled water all over Mrs. Van Daan's coat, they were torn apart. That special coat was given to her, Mrs. Van Daan, by her father before he died. That was one of the only things that really mattered to her, besides her son and her husband. Mrs. Van Daan was somewhat of a flirt. She would flirt with Mr. Frank just a little, but nothing major. But anyways, Mrs. Van Daan was definitely a caring mother and wife. Even if she did get in fights with her husband, Mr. Van Daan, she did care for him and Peter so very much. She was most definitely a caring person.

Diary Entry 1
Dear Diary
I can't believe that there is a new family moving in with us. I heard that it was Mr. Frank’s family. Apparently Mr. Frank has a wife and two children. Margot and Anneke, Anne for short. Those two are Mr. and Mrs. Frank’s two children. I heard that Anne was 13 and Margot was just around Peter’s age. I take that back, Margot is just a little bit older than Peter. That is my son, Peter. Peter is 16. You know, maybe he, Peter, will have a little girlfriend by the end of this horrible adventure, hiding from the Nazis, known as the Green Police. Anyways, as I was saying, he might have a little girlfriend. Him and Anneke, or Anne, are only three years apart. He is 16 and she is 13. From what I heard, Anne is one beautiful young lady. And for your information, Peter is definitely one handsome young boy. It might work out between them two. You never know. It would be cute to see them two be little lovers. Well, I ought-to go now. I hear them coming, Mr. Frank and his family, they are coming right now. Good bye.

Diary Entry 2
Dear Diary,
Today I told Anne my story about how boys were always coming in and out of my house. He, my dad always did worry about me when I was around boys. Speaking of dads, I can't believe my husband. He is always picking fights with me. It doesn't matter what it is. He got mad at me today. I didn't do anything harmful. I don't even know why he would have gotten mad!! Anyways, like I said, I didn't do anything harmful. I simply just gave Otto, Mr. Frank, a simple peck or kiss on the lips. Mr. Van Daan calls it a kiss, I call it a little peck. But anyways, it was stupid. It was just one tiny little kiss. It didn’t mean anything, I think. The only reason that he should have gotten mad about was me saying “where were you when I met Mr. Van Daan? If I would have known you, I would have definitely had stuck with you, instead of this slob here”. I do think that only that part was just a tiny bit out of line. But he didn’t need to get all worked up just about a stupid kiss.Well I got to go. Bye.

Diary Entry 3
Dear Diary,
Today, as I was, sewing, there were a ton of planes above us. They were sending bombs. One almost hit us!! We are SO lucky. We are so lucky that we didn't get hit. I was so scared to where I almost cried. It was one of the scariest things that have happened to me in my whole entire life. I can’t even imagine how the other people would have felt when they actually got hit. That must have been just absolutely dreadful. Just dreadful, I just can’t imagine. I have some more bad news. The robber again, for the second time. He heard us again. I know he did!! I think he knows that we are up here. I think he is going to go to the Green Police and tell them that there are some jews hiding up in this building and then we are going to be taken away. Let’s just sure hope not. There some good news though to this horrifying event. Hanukah came early this year. Anneke is so sweet. And generous too. In this horrible time of tragedy and dreadfulness, she made everyone a present. She made me shampoo. I feel so bad that I didn't get anything for her or even make anything for her. She even mad Peter something. She made him a razor. Actually think that she found it. Well I ought-to-go. I'm going to try out my new shampoo she made me. She apparently used soap and something else, I can't remember at this time. Well, good bye.

Diary Entry 4
Dear Diary,
You will never believe what happened last night!! My son, Peter, got his first kiss!!! He was on one of his little "talking sessions" with Anne in his room. I say that they were dates. And as she was leaving, he just totally kissed her. I am guessing now that they are now a couple now. They are so cute together. I wouldn’t be surprised when we got out of hiding there will be a new Mrs. Van Daan. Do you remember what I said in my first diary entry? Well, if you don’t then all I got to say is that I was right. Like I said in the beginning, they are only three years apart, it could possibly work between them two. Today the Green Police almost found us. It was all because of that stupid cat of Peters, Mouschi. He knocked a plate over. But then when Mouschi went out to the Green Police, the Nazis, the Green Police left cause they found out that the cat made all of that noise and they thought he, Mouschi, was up here all by himself. So, that cat is now gone. He ran away, thank God!! Well I must be going now. Good bye.

Dairy Entry 5
Dear Diary,
Today is probably one of the saddest days of my life. I can’t believe my life is over. As you know we, the Franks, my family, and Mr. Dussel, have been in hiding for while. In fact, we have been hiding for over a year now. We have been so silent. I don’t know how this could have happened. Anyways, we got caught. I think that the robber told the Nazis. I am positive that the robber told the Nazis. There is no other way that we could have gotten caught. We were so silent and sneaky. Anyways, the Green Police gave us just a few minutes to pack. Sadly, I can't take you, diary, with me. They wouldn't let me. They would just throw it away if I packed you and when you were would have been found. So, this is good bye for me and you. Hopefully, somebody will find this diary. And if they do, I would wish that they share my story with the whole world, but only if they can. Well, I have got to go. It is my time to go and get shipped off and go to some camp. This is my time. So, farewell, forever.
